Mortgage Broker FAQ's

What is Mortgagebrokersearch?
Mortgagebrokersearch is an online financial intermediation company. We use the efficiencies of the internet to provide clients with qualified and experienced brokers to meet their needs.

Is Mortgagebrokersearch independent of all other brokers?

Yes, Mortgagebrokersearch is a completely separate legal entity independent of any brokers or broker groups in Australia. You can be assured that referrals and matching is performed in an entirely non-partisan and unbiased way depending on client requirements.

How much will I be charged to use the service?
Mortgagebrokersearch charges a fee for all job leads passed through our system You as the broker have a choice in how you are billed.

The first option is for you to pay a ‘processing lead fee’. This lead fee presently ranges from $50 to $150 depending on the size of the loan, type of loan and what stage the client is up to in their transaction.

The second option is to pay a ‘guaranteed lead fee’. This fee is only paid if you are successful in placing the client’s loan. This lead fee ranges from $440 to $2,200 depending on the loan size and payable within 7 days of loan settlement. We accept credit cards and direct credit payments. All fees are disclosed clearly for your view before you make a decision to buy a lead. You will be asked to agree to the above charging conditions under the terms of the Mortgagebrokersearch Online Services Agreement and make your choice on lead fee payment options.

How will billing occur?

Billing occurs by a tax invoice forwarded to you electronically on payment by credit card or direct credit into our nominated bank account.

Are jobs referred to a financial institution, or to individual brokers?

Jobs are referred to individual brokers within organizations. This way, we can ensure the right jobs go directly to the right brokers who can then act quickly.

I have registered as a broker. Why can’t I buy a lead?

You will not be able to buy leads for available jobs until your registration is approved and made "active" by our staff after verifying your details and approving your application.

Why should I use the Mortgagebrokersearch service?

Using Mortgagebrokersearch delivers value to your practice. It will bring you new business and new clients, all without expensive advertising and marketing campaigns that may not reach the right audience.

Our experience has shown that those brokers who buy leads quickly and regularly are the most successful with their matches. Brokers report that they gain exposure to a volume of jobs that they would not normally encounter and that the Mortgagebrokersearch job notifications enable them to keep in touch with what is happening in the marketplace for brokers. Some of our brokers have reported a marked increase in the traffic of jobs which makes them enthusiastic supporters of the service.

Mortgagebrokersearch also saves you time and leaves you in full control of the amount of work you wish to take on. By registering as a broker affiliate, you receive instant access to our available jobs. If you are interested in taking a job and meet the qualifications the client is seeking, you can have your credentials placed before that client.

Is paying Mortgagebrokersearch a commission or a lead fee legal?

Yes. So long as the lead fee to Mortgagebrokersearch is disclosed to your client in accordance with your obligations under the financial code and your agreement with Mortgagebrokersearch.
